Postman earned its place: it defined the modern API-client category, its collection format is a de facto standard, and its ecosystem is enormous. If your team lives in Postman, that is a rational choice.
The comparison is really about scope. Postman is API-first; a release also needs UI tests, performance evidence, security scanning, and accessibility checks — which usually means three or four more tools next to it. Our platform covers those in one subscription, and imports your Postman collections so trying it costs minutes, not a migration project.
Choose Postman if…
- Your testing need is API-only and the team is already fluent in Postman.
- You rely on Postman-ecosystem integrations or public workspaces.
- You want the most widely known tool for hiring familiarity.
Choose Dokimore if…
- You also need UI, performance, security, or accessibility testing and want one asset base instead of tool sprawl.
- You want API tests, recorded UI flows, and load tests to share auth state, environments, and reporting.
- Per-seat pricing across multiple tools is adding up — our Team tier is flat for up to 16 seats.

Common questions
Can I import my existing Postman collections?
Yes. The Migration Setup tool imports Postman collections — alongside Bruno, Insomnia, Hoppscotch, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright and JMeter assets — and maps them into the platform, with a per-item report of what migrated cleanly and what needs review. Nothing is silently dropped.
Is Dokimore a Postman replacement or a superset?
For API testing it covers the core workflows — request building, environments, chaining, mock server — plus gRPC and SOAP. The difference is scope: it also includes UI recording with self-healing, performance testing, security scanning, and accessibility testing in the same subscription.
What does switching cost?
A 14-day free trial plus roughly an hour to import collections and run them. Generated tests and load plans export to open formats (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, k6, JMeter, Locust), so there is no lock-in in either direction.
