This is a scenario walkthrough of the Migration Setup tool. It is not a customer story.
The stuck suite
A team has years of Selenium tests. They want Playwright's speed and reliability, but a rewrite is months of unfunded work, so the old suite limps along: flaky, slow, and politically untouchable because nobody remembers what half the tests protect.
The walkthrough
- Import: Migration Setup ingests the asset base (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, Bruno, Insomnia, Hoppscotch and JMeter formats among them) and maps each test into the platform's step model. Nothing is silently dropped: the report classifies every test as migrated, needs-review, or unsupported.
- Stabilize: imported steps run with self-healing underneath. 15+ fallback strategies propose repairs for brittle legacy locators, and the heal-review queue lets your team approve each one. This is where XPath-by-index goes to die.
- Export or stay: run inside the platform, or export generated Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium code. The export is yours, with no lock-in.
What to expect honestly
Custom waits and hand-rolled utilities need human review, and the report tells you exactly which ones. The win is that the mechanical majority migrates without hand-porting, so your team's time goes to the genuinely hard remainder instead of the boilerplate.
How we measured this
- The formats named here are those with an importer in the product on the article date (2026-07-15). The per-item report (migrated, needs review, unsupported) is produced by the importer itself, so the numbers on your report are counts, not estimates.
