The annual scramble
Every team that has been through a compliance audit knows the ritual: weeks of hunting for screenshots, exporting logs that were almost rotated away, and reconstructing "who approved this" from Slack threads. The evidence existed. It was just never collected as evidence.
Evidence as a pipeline by-product
- Tamper-evident audit logs: every significant platform action lands in an integrity-attested trail, the "who did what, when" record auditors ask for first, already assembled.
- Security scan evidence: every confirmed finding carries its request/response proof bundle, and every scan is a dated record of the control operating.
- Accessibility evidence: WCAG 2.2 scan history plus one-click VPAT export: the document, not a promise to produce one.
Map one control this week
Pick one control from your framework, say "changes to production are reviewed", and identify the automated artifact that proves it. Then do the next one. Teams that treat evidence as a by-product walk into audits with folders already full; teams that treat it as an event lose weeks, annually, forever.
How we measured this
- The audit trail is attested in batches. Each attestation carries a SHA-256 hash over the batch entry identifiers and the previous attestation hash, starting from a genesis value, so a removed or altered entry breaks verification of every later batch.
